GRANTSBORO — Amber Deigh Cox and Johnathan Andrew Lancaster exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 21 at 4 p.m. at Amity Christian Church, with the Rev. Terry Lynn Maxwell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmy Brinson and Cathy Caskey Cox of Grantsboro and the granddaughter of Carolyn Brinson and the late Ezekiel Micajah Cox of Goldsboro, Grace Truman of Grantsboro and the late James Osbourne Allen of Stonewall.

She attends East Carolina University for a degree in accounting. She is employed as an administrative assistant with Pamlico County.

The groom is the son of Larry Earl and Debra Andrews Lancaster of New Bern and the grandson of the late John F. and Verna Gladson Lancaster, Dalton McCray and the late Vera Moore Andrews of New Bern.

He attends Craven Community College for a degree in automotive technology. He is employed as a mechanic with the city of New Bern.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white strapless gown with a lace overlay, a chapel train and a pool-colored sash at the waist.

The bride carried Gerber daisies in shades of pink.

Kari Simpson was matron of honor, while Alisha Cox and Stephanie Carey were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Stephanie Carey and Heather Lancaster.

Trent Jarman was best man.

Groomsmen were Brian Cox and Michael Figueroa.

Zoie Figueroa and Brianna Squires were flower girls. Jonah Andrews was ringbearer.

Anne Smithwick directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Ashleigh Bilodeau. Katlyn Martinez distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jerri Bilodeau, pianist, and Anita Owens, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Pamlico County Shrine Club.

After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple reside in Grantsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower June 8 hosted by Amity Christian Church.

A rehearsal dinner was held June 20 at Gary’s Downeast Seafood in Arapahoe.
