PIKEVILLE — Liza Nicole Hardy and Benjamin Kyle Price exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 7 at 4 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with Don Sauls officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Bobby J. and Elizabeth Hardy of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Barbara Hardy and the late J.E. Hardy of Pikeville and the late Fred and Ruby Russell of Bailey.

She graduated from Wayne Christian High School in 2003 and Wilson Tech in 2007 with a CNA. She is employed as a CS paraprofessional at ReNu Life.

The groom is the son of Donnie and Koni Price of Goldsboro and the grandson of Landis and Janet Davis of Stantonsburg, the late Roland Price and Beulah Price of Pikeville and the late Borden and Hilda Howell of Goldsboro.

He is a 1994 graduate of Rosewood High School. He is employed as a foreman at Seegars Fence Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin re-embroidered lace strapless princess-line gown with a fitted bodice covered in sequins and pearls. It had a semi-cathedral train with sequins and pearls at the bottom.

Her headpiece was a fingertip veil with a rhinestone tiara.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies, kiko roses, stephanotis and Italian ruscus.

Mary Beth Hardy was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashliegh Lyons and Dominique de Varona, cousins of the bride; Lacie Hardy, sister of the bride; and Jana Yelverton, friend of the bride.

Donnie Price was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Jamie Price, brother of the groom, and Shayne Lee, David Ellis and Jason Collins, friends of the groom.

Laney Price, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Layton Price, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Karen Giuliani directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Lynette and Melissa Howell. Phillip and Emily Hardy distributed programs.

Special helpers were Jennifer Collins, Mary Ann Lyons, Dawn Dobbins, Elisa and Jenna Tyndall, Jamie King, Calvin Fuller and Shelly Yelverton.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jana Yelverton, vocalist, and Jeff Martin.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club. Phil and Margaret Hardy greeted guests. Ricky Yelverton gave the blessing.

After a wedding trip to Ochio Rios, Jamaica, the couple reside in Rosewood.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower May 18 at the Simmons home hosted by Vickie Simmons; a bachelor weekend May 16 through 18 in Emerald Isle hosted by Kenneth Grant; a bachelorette weekend May 1 through 4 in Topsail Beach hosted by Liz Hardy and Jana Yelverton; a bridal shower April 27 at St. Joseph Church hosted by Janet Davis, Koni Price, Melissa Price, Linda Cherry, Lynette Howell, Betty Rackley and Carolyn Byers; a bridal shower luau April 26 at the de Varona home hosted by Jana Yelverton, Liz Hardy and Dominique de Varona; and a bridal luncheon April 13 at Texas Steakhouse hosted by the bride and her mother.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Steak Barn.
