PIKEVILLE — Erica Paige Forehand of Pikeville and Devin Hart Chase of Shine exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 10 at 2 p.m. at Pikeville Community Park, with the Rev. Marvin Wiggins officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Randy Michael and Celeste Sasser Forehand of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Dollie Mooring and the late Frank C. Forehand of Pikeville and Linda Bradshaw and the late Ralph E. Sasser of Fremont.

She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2005. She is employed at Park Designs and Pizza Inn.

The groom is the son of Dennis Ray and Peggy Hart Chase of Shine, the grandson of Mildred C. Stroud and the late Lloyd Chase of Snow Hill, Bettie Arthur of LaGrange, the late J.B. Hart of LaGrange, and the step-grandson of the late Needham Stroud of Snow Hill.

He graduated from Green Central High School in 2004. He is employed at R.A. Jeffery’s/Budweiser and Pizza Inn.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a beaded halter style wedding gown with a cathedral train. Her hair was worn up with a touch of baby’s breath. The bouquet was pink stargazer lilies, with ivy and baby’s breath.

The maids of honor were Jennifer Hix, friend of the couple, and Jena Pulley, cousin of the bride.

Dennis Ray Chase, father of the groom, served as his son’s best man.

Groomsman was Derek Chase, the groom’s brother.

The couple’s two Chihuahuas, Chloe and Lillie, were junior bridesmaids.

Brandon Harper, the groom’s cousin, was the usher.

Jo Marie Bacia, friend of the couple, was flower girl. Connie Wiggins, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Paige Chase, sister of the groom. Hayley Forehand, sister of the bride, distributed programs.

The Rev. Larry Turlington did the sand ceremony.

Crystal Hart did the sound for the wedding.

A reception was given by the bride’s parents at the Pikeville Community Center.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple reside in Fremont.

The groom’s parents cooked for and hosted the rehearsal dinner at their church, Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist in Shine.

Events held before the wedding included a shower given by co-workers at Park Designs on May 1 and a bachelor and bachelorette party given by Derick Forehand and Jennifer Hix at the home of the couple on May 3.
