WINTERVILLE — Sarah Elizabeth Hallman of Winterville and Brian Francis Jones of Winterville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. at Peace Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Paul Lang officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John Lawrence Hallman III and Mary Watson Hallman of Williamston, S.C., and the granddaughter of the late John Lawrence Hallman II and Marion Pierson Hallman of Beverley Hills, Fla., and Hail Otto and Eloise Gettys Watson of Lugoff, S.C.

She graduated from high school in Greenville, S.C., and East Carolina University cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree of the Arts in Hispanic studies and a minor in business administration and attends East Carolina University’s alternative licensure program for a teaching certificate. She is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She is employed as a high school teacher at Farmville Central High School.

The groom is the son of Myra Bridgers Howell of Goldsboro and the grandson of Paul Delmus Bridgers Sr. and Jean Strickland Bridgers of Goldsboro.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2001 and East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree specializing in the accounting field of the business program. He is employed as staff accountant for Beaufort County Community College.

The bride was escorted by father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a wedding gown with a corset top beaded with an inset of a floral design. The bottom of the full dress had a pinched gathering adorning a beaded, flower-like design.

Her headpiece was a sheer, single-layer veil lined in rhinestones to compliment the sparkle of the dress.

The bride carried 12 red roses with baby’s breath.

Courtney Leanne Johnston and Christine Marie Bazik were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Meredith Anderson, Chelsea Oliver, Meredith Oliver, Ryan LeCheminant and Katie Jones.

William James Brady III was best man.

Groomsmen were John Mark Flowers, John Lawrence Hallman IV, Jeremy Russell, Justin Stone, Jason Finklestein and Alexander Hallman.

Peggy Vaughn directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Christopher Brady.

A program of wedding music was provided by Penny McCreary, pianist, and Sarah and Daniel Lang, violinists.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Brook Valley Country Club of Greenville.

After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple reside in Winterville.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelor party Oct. 6 hosted by William Brady; a bachelorette party Sept. 15 hosted by Courtney Johnston and Christine Bazik; a shower hosted by the administration and financial sector of Beaufort County Community College; a shower hosted by Farmville Central High School; a shower hosted by the Foreign Language Department and Caren Lapicki; a shower at the home of John and Jenny Lewis of Goldsboro hosted by the groom’s aunts and close friends; a couple’s shower at the home of the bride’s grandparents in Lugoff hosted by aunts and uncles of the bride and other close family members; and showers in Pelzer hosted by the Pelzer and Williamston Presbyterian churches.

The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 19 at the Beef Barn in Greenville.
