Lauren Renee Harrell and Jeffery Douglas Kincaid II of Morehead exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Jackson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Beverly Harrell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Ellis and Janet Harrell, Jo Anne Hill and the late Preston Eugene Hill of Dudley.

She is a 2005 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2007 graduate of Medical Arts Massage School in Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Jeffery Douglas and Tammy James Kincaid of LaGrange and the grandson of Blackie and Janie Kincaid of Walnut Creek and Gerald and Carolyn Layden of Goldsboro.

He is a 2004 graduate of Spring Creek High School. He is employed as manager of Pizza Inn.

The bride was escorted by her father and son, Brayden Harrell, and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal satin gown with a beaded halter-style bodice of pearls and crystals and a full skirt with a flowing cathedral train accented with lace appliqués, pearls and rosettes.

Her headpiece was a diamond and pearl tiara attached to a fingertip veil accented with pearls.

The bride carried a white bouquet of calla lilies, tea roses and stephanotis accented with cascading ivy wrapped with a pearl bouquet sleeve.

Ashley Blake, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, while Ginger Joyner, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jenny Westbrook, Hannah Best and Crystal Faircloth, friends of the bride.

Jeffery Douglas Kincaid, was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Scott Harrell, brother of the bride; Jon Blake, brother-in-law of the groom; and Landon Reeves and Michael Hudson, friends of the couple.

Kaitlyn Kincaid, sister of the groom, was flower girl. Frankie Pratt, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

Lindsey Howell, friend of the bride’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Renee Pratt and Sharon Harrell, aunts of the bride. Daniel Harrell, cousin of the bride; distributed programs.

David Harrell, cousin of the bride, was bellringer.

A program of wedding music was provided by Terri Kornegay, friend of the bride’s family, pianist; Amy Kelly, friend of the bride’s family, vocalist; Eric Weeks, friend of the bride’s family, sound technician; and Jay Kornegay Jr., friend of the bride’s family, guitarist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner and dance reception at the Big Barn Theatre. Melanie Hopkins and Debra Owens, cousins of the bride, greeted guests. Sharon Harrell, aunt of the bride, cut the wedding cake. Jo Anne Hill, grandmother of the bride, and Brenda Howell, aunt of the bride, poured punch.

After a wedding trip to St. Simon, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette night out Aug. 10 hosted by Ginger Joyner, friend of the bride; a a miscellaneous shower July 29 hosted by Brenda Howell and Sharon Harrell, aunts of the bride, and Jo Anne Hill, grandmother of the bride; a church-wide miscellaneous shower July 22 in the church fellowship hall hosted by Providence Fellowship class; and a dinner and kitchen shower June 30 at Lake CarMel hosted by Renee and Allan Pratt, uncle and aunt of the bride.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.
