PIKEVILLE — Amber Nichole Hill of Greenville and David Lee Sauls Jr. of Greenville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents, with the Rev. John Sauls II officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ricky Gerald and Patricia Coffey Hill of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Katie Geraldine Hill Pardue, the late Jeanette Coffey Lee and Kenneth Ray Lee of Goldsboro, the late Milton Eugene Hill of Faro and the late Jack Nolan Coffey of High Point.

She is a 2001 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Fraternity. She is employed as a first grade teacher at Northwest Elementary with Pitt County Schools.

The groom is the son of David Lee and Vicky Daniels Sauls of Goldsboro and the grandson of Doris Suggs and the late John Irwin Sauls of Pikeville and L.J. and Thelma Brogden Daniels and the late Maxwell Daniels of Dudley.

He is a 1999 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting. He is employed as an auditor at Dixon Hughes PLLC.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white chiffon gown with a shirred sweetheart neckline finished with a floral beaded pattern and beaded spaghetti straps. The back featured a U shape and a tie sash finished with a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a head band with crystals and pearls attached to a one-tiered fingertip-length white tulle veil.

The bride carried hand-wrapped miniature garnet glow calla lilies accented in light pink cymbidium orchids wrapped with white satin ribbon accented with pearls and crystals.

Jenifer Hill Williford was her sister’s matron of honor, while Kristan Mynhier was maid of honor.

Stephanie Sauls, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid.

David Sauls was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Stuart Sauls, brother of the groom, and Bobby Sullivan.

Ushers were Daniel Sauls and Chris Lee.

Hannah Coffey was flower girl.

Jay Sauls directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Faye Perkins, aunt of the groom. Wanda Hill of Raleigh, aunt of the bride, distributed programs.

Special helpers were Doug Coffey, Brad Coffey, Steve Coffey, Steven Coffey, Patrick Hill, Dary Bryant and Anda Hill of Raleigh and Shannon Stewart of Wake Forest.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jimmy Aycock, pianist; Jill Howell, James Sauls and Jay Sauls, vocalists; Dee Braxton Pellagrino, violinist; and Frank Suggs of Raleigh, sound technician.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Jamie Coffey Hill and Melody Lee cut the wedding cake. Tammy Gardner of Greenville was the attendant.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple reside in Greenville.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon July 28 at Madison’s Restaurant; a lingerie shower July 21 at the home of Kristan Mynhier hosted by Ms. Mynhier and Stephanie Sauls; a shower July 18 at Dixon Hughes; a shower June 24 at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church hosted by Vicky Sauls; a shower June 2 held at Antioch Presbyterian Church hosted by the bride’s family; a shower May 3 at Northwest Elementary in Greenville hosted by Tammy Gardner; and an engagement party March 24 at the home of the bride’s sister hosted by Weldon and Jenifer Williford.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club.
