MOUNT OLIVE — English Brooke Worley of Goldsboro and Joseph Adam Arnold of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Brownings United Methodist Church, with Dr. Lily Chou officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David Dean Worley of Kenly and Claudia Gaye Best of Micro and the granddaughter of Margaret Worley and the late Ray Worley of Big Pine, Norma Wilkerson of Goldsboro and the late Ira Lee Best of Mount Olive.

She is employed as a manager at Gap Outlet.

The groom is the son of Joseph Mainard and Catherine Caldwell Arnold of Concord and the grandson of Edward Arnold and the late Eleanor Arnold and Fred and Edna Caldwell of Emporium, Pa.

He is employed as a recruiter with the Air Force.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory A-line strapless satin gown with a lace-up back and a semi-cathedral train. It had a tuxedo trimmed neckline in teal and cascading teal borders were embellished with crystal and pearl beading.

Her headpiece was an ivory double veil with satin ribbon.

Morgan Haley was her mother’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Cecilia Bell and Julie Baker, sisters of the bride, and Amanda Ward, sister of the groom.

Benjamin Ravert, son of the bride, was best man.

Groomsmen were Braxton Bell and Kerry Baker and Steven Ward, brothers-in-law of the bride.

London Arnold, daughter of the groom, was flower girl.

Frances Pate directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Keith and Cathy Chism, friends of the bride.

Special helpers were Sarah Bell and Maggie Parrish, nieces of the bride, and Cheyanne Ward, niece of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dr. Lily Chou, pianist; Rick Prigden, vocalist; and Bess Edwards-Sawyer, organist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a a bridal shower June 24 hosted by team members at Gap Outlet; a bachelorette party June 23 hosted by the bridesmaids; and a bachelor party June 22 hosted by the groomsmen.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in Brownings Church fellowship hall.
