Albaugh-Dupree
Amy Leigh Dupree of Goldsboro and Trevor Ross Albaugh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 2 at 2 p.m. at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Chapel, with the Rev. D.J. Coles officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gene Dupree of Doerun, Ga., and Bonnie Wike of Banbridge, Ga., and the granddaughter of Virginia Alexander of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Dave Dupree and the late Cary and Geraldine Baxley of Doerun.
She graduated from Bambridge High School in Georgia in 1996 and attends Wayne Community College for an LPN degree. She is employed as a medical tech at Brookdale Sterling House.
The groom is the son of John and Barbara Albaugh of Goldsboro and the grandson of Blaine Albaugh and the late Charlotte Albaugh of Amsterdam, Ohio, and Edna Fankhauser and the late Harold Fankhauser of Bergholoz, Ohio.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1999 and East Carolina University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. He is employed as a police officer with Goldsboro Police Department.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless golden ivory gown with a beaded floral design. She also wore diamond earrings, a necklace and a ring passed down from the groom’s grandmother.
Her headpiece was a diamond and pearl tiara.
She carried a bouquet of white lilies, white roses and purple carnations wrapped in a family handkerchief.
Laura Weaver, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, while Misty Glenn, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Leslie Cook and Ashley Glenn, friends of the bride.
Rusty Herring was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen were John Albaugh; father of the groom, and Matthew Bronner and Dillion Fleming, friends of the groom.
Vanessa Albaugh; niece of the groom, was flower girl. Yakira Gurganus, friend of the couple, was ringbearer.
Ruth Coles directed the wedding. Jonathan and Natalie Albaugh, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, lit the candelabras.
A program of wedding music was provided by Kim Kennedy, friend of the bride, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Seymour Johnson AFB Officers’ Club. Beverly McAbier, aunt of the groom, and Alice Farmer, friend of the couple, cut the wedding cake.
After a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va., the couple reside in Goldsboro.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 1 at their home.
