Cynthia Kay Marshburn and Leslie Mark Teachey exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 26 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Doug Bartlett officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Clarice Lucille Mabe of Walnut Cove.

She is employed at Anchor Coupling Inc.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Murphy Teachey of Albertson.

He is employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The bride was escorted by her brother and given in marriage by her family.

Lorrie Mitchell of Mount Olive was her friend’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Karie Banks and Kristy Berends of Raleigh, daughters of the bride.

Chris Teachey of Manakin-Sabot, Va., was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Guy Teachey of Albertson, brother of the groom, and Grant Teachey of Albertson, nephew of the groom.

Stephanie Strickland of Calypso was flower girl. Stuart Teachey of Albertson, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Krista Davis directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Phyllis Chestnutt.

A program of wedding music was provided by Clay Davis and Amy Fisher, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower June 13 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Church hosted by friends and a dinner May 27 at the home of the bride’s mother in Walnut Cove, hosted by the bride’s mother.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner May 25 at Southern Belle Restaurant.
