Pamela Wilder and Adrian De Rice Dudley of LaGrange exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 5 at 4 p.m. at St. James Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, with Pastor V.J. Houston officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Clarice Grantham Wilder and the late Lester Wilder of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Ardelia Jones of Fremont.

She is a 1987 graduate of Goldsboro High School. She is employed as an HCA II at O’Berry Center and as an habilitation technician at Howell’s Support Services.

The groom is the son of the late Mary Dudley Adams, the stepson of John Adams Sr. and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dudley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Graham.

He graduated from North Lenoir High School in 1990. He is employed at O’Berry Center’s special services department.

The bride was escorted by her sons, Antonio and Quanderrio Wilder, and given in marriage by her mother and sons.

She wore an ivory three-quarter-length beaded sequined gown with spray beading, sheer netting and flourishes that transformed to off-the-shoulder with a sweetheart halter with tulle skirt feathers, a corset bodice and beaded Alencon lace. It had an open back with hanging pearls adorning the bodice hemline and a semi-cathedral eight-foot train.

Her headpiece was a diamond and pearl tiara with clear rhinestones attached to a candlelight fingertip-length veil.

The bride carried a bundle of white roses with calla lilies, pearls and lilac ribbons accenting the stems.

Tonda Thompson Dawson of Clayton was matron of honor, while Jacqueline Alston Miller was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Nona and Sharitta Kornegay of Mount Olive, godsisters of the bride; Sophia Grantham Williams of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride; Letitia Jones of Goldsboro, friend of the bride; and Washandra Fryer Olive and Tomeka McDuffie Wooten of Goldsboro, friends of the couple.

Antonio Wooten of Goldsboro was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Daryl Dudley of Kinston, brother of the groom; Jimmy Powell Jr. of LaGrange, cousin of the groom; Julian Edwards of Goldsboro, godbrother of the bride; and Leman Wooten and Sherrod White of LaGrange, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Curtis Alston of Goldsboro, friend of the bride; Kelvin Best of Warrenton and Derrick Muldrow of Winston-Salem, friends of the couple; and Silanta’ Thompson of Mount Olive, godson of the bride.

Brittany McCall of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Adrian Warren of Snow Hill, son of the groom, was the junior groomsman.

Jacquetta Dudley, daughter of the groom, and Anissa Williams, cousin of the bride, were flower girls. Shedrick Kornegay, godson of the bride, was ringbearer.

Bell ringers were Kemiya Wooten of Goldsboro, goddaughter of the couple, and Shondee Fryer, friend of the bride.

Iris Battle directed the wedding. Julian Edwards and Washandra F. Oliver were co-coordinators. Presiding at the register was Karen B. Jones.

Hostesses were Aurdrey Carmen of Mount Olive and Kimberly Tapp of Kinston, friends of the couple; Yana Carmichael and Lyn ecia Jones Terry Grantham of Pikeville, friends of the bride; and Tonya P. Hedgspeth of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom.

Special helpers were Cleo Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Kornegay of Mount Olive, Linda Battle and Richard Battle of Manhattan, N.Y., and Mr. and Mrs. James Best, Michelle Chambers and Juanita Graham of Goldsboro.

A program of wedding music was provided by Minister Stephanie A. Bell, Michelle Hobbs, Antwanette Best and Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Alston, vocalists, and Eric Carmichael, Nicholas Cole Drummer and Deonte Anderson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in LaGrange.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelor party May 4 hosted by the groomsmen; a miscellaneous shower April 29 at Ryan’s hosted by the bridesmaids and friends; a bachelorette shower April 28 hosted by the bridesmaids and friends; a lingerie shower April 21 at the home of Sally Jean Oliver; a miscellaneous shower April 18 hosted by co-workers at O’Berry Center; and a miscellaneous shower April 1 at Logan’s.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner May 4 at Saint James fellowship hall.
