Emily Blair Jones and Russell Carter Daniels exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 12 at 4 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jim Williams and the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmy and Bethany Jones of LaGrange and the granddaughter of James and Leona Leneave of Goldsboro and Jimmy Sr. and Peggy Jones of LaGrange.

She is a 2000 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in information systems. She attends East Carolina University for a degree in elementary education. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.

The groom is the son of Danny and Del Daniels of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Rev. Kenneth and Pattie Carter of Goldsboro and Mrs. Archie Daniels and the late Russell Daniels Sr. of Belhaven.

He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1994 and Wayne Community College with an associate degree and a concentration in network administration and support. He is employed in information technology support with R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin A-line split-front gown. The strapless bodice had floral and scrolling embroidery details embellished with Swarovski crystals. The overskirt opened to reveal embroidery that finished the chapel train.

Her headpiece was a fleur de lis scrolled tiara with freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals attached to a white two-tiered veil with a sutache edge and Swarovski crystals.

The bride carried a semi-cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies, white stephanotis, miniature yellow calla lilies, yellow roses and yellow and white freesia accented with ivy with streamers in yellow and white sheer corsage ribbon.

Laura Beth Jones of LaGrange was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Andrea Daniels of Greenville, sister of the bride; Brittany Ham, Kerri Lee of Deep Run and Donna Mitchell of LaGrange, friends of the bride; and Britni Tildsley of Fayetteville, cousin of the bride.

Danny Daniels was his son’s best man.

Ushers were Jeff Daniels of Greenville, brother of the groom; Ben Daniels of Greenville, uncle of the groom; Alex Ferrell of Black Creek and Michael Tildsley of Fayetteville, cousins of the bride; and Shane Pate, friend of the groom.

Alyssa Price, friend of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Jake Leneave of Midlothian, Va., cousin of the bride, was the junior groomsman.

Christine Parrish directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kendi Davis. Kari Mewborn distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jacob Mewborn, pianist; Jay Kornegay, guitarist; Marian Kennedy and Jay Ham, vocalists; and Ron Mendell, sound technician.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dance and reception at Walnut Creek Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Eason and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith greeted guests.

After a wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a pig picking and gift card shower May 6 at Bethel United Methodist Church hosted by the church’s Adults for Christ Sunday school class; a tool shower May 5 at the home of Terri Sutton hosted by Ms. Sutton, Lisa Sutton and Terrie Kornegay; a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 5 at Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by Betty Holloway; a miscellaneous shower April 21 at the Daniels home in Belhaven hosted by the Daniels family; a pig picking April 14 hosted by Jimmy and Peggy Jones and James and Leona Leneave, grandparents of the bride; a miscellaneous shower March 10 hosted by Kendi Davis, Kari Mewborn, Britni Tildsley, Laura Beth Jones, Patricia Carter, Linda Rodwell, Myrna Tyndall and Sherrie Cogdell; a miscellaneous shower Feb. 17 at the home of Geraldine Alphin, aunt of the bride, hosted by Ms. Alphin, Joan Ellis, Jean Alphin and Judy Alphin; a lingerie shower Jan. 20 at the home of Christine Parrish hosted by Ms. Parrish, Donna Parrish and Rachel, Parrish, friends of the bride; and a Christmas shower Dec. 2 at the home of Teresa Eason hosted by Ms. Eason and Beckie Tildsley, aunts of the bride.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner May 11 at Lane Tree Golf Club.
