SOLON, Ohio — Michele Leigh Fallert and Wesley Preston Parker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 14 at 3 p.m. at Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Jeff and Kerri Peterson-Davis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Fallert of Cleveland, Ohio, and the granddaughter of Betty D. Jones and the late Richard M. Jones III of Boardman, Ohio, Barbara James of Matthews and the late Raymond Fallert of Cleveland.

She is a graduate of Chagrin Falls High School in Ohio and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She is employed at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Preston Parker of Mount Olive and the grandson of Ruth Martin Parker, the late Louise Outlaw Parker and Beatrice Best Thornton of Mount Olive and the late Kirby Howard Thornton.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and a minor in wood products. He is employed as a superintendent with West Pine Builders of Raleigh.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal ivory gown of nouveau satin with a V-halter neckline. The bodice was decorated with lace that cascaded down from the neckline and extended out to the pick-up portions of the ruched skirt accented with beading and crystals, repeated in the chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a single-tiered elbow-length ivory veil attached to a comb accented with pearls and crystals.

She carried a bouquet of ivory and lavender roses, purple sweet peas, cream hydrangeas and freesia.

Lindsay Nicole Fallert was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kelly Diana Parker of Chapel Hill, sister of the groom, and Jessica Horvath, Lisa Laufik of Cleveland and Allison Reynolds of Cincinnati, Ohio, friends of the bride.

William Preston Parker was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Joshua Whitfield of Mount Olive, Joseph Christopher Johnson of Raleigh, Aldon Holmes Cox of Leland and Chase Lee Campbell of Chapel Hill, friends of the groom.

Molly Miller of Toledo, Ohio, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Sue Egleston and Sherrie Reynolds, family friends of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Bridget Gail Parvin, cousin of the groom. Alicia Ferrell of Garner and Katie Gardner of Washington D.C., distributed programs.

Lauren Ashley Parvin of Mount Olive and Natalie Parvin Griffith of Charleston, S.C., cousins of the groom, were special helpers.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jerry Mason, organist; Rich Deken and Kiko Weinroth, vocalists; and Ellen Shirley, flutist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner and dance reception at the Bertram Inn in Aurora, Ohio.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Garner.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower March 25 at First Baptist Church of Mount Olive; a house-divided tailgating party March 24 at Walnut Creek Country Club; a surprise luncheon and shower March 21 at Northwestern Mutual; a dinner and dance March 3 at Goldsboro Country Club; a bachelorette party and dinner Feb. 24 at the home of Nicole Presnal in Raleigh hosted by Ms. Presnal; a miscellaneous shower and luncheon Feb. 17 at the home of Kathy Phyfer of Mentor, Ohio, hosted by Ms. Phyfer, Susan Miller and Sally Jones; a Christmas shower Dec. 9 at Mount Olive College’s President and Hennessee rooms hosted by Wanda Hardison, Susan Lasater, Verlie Reeves, Donna Ricks and Linda Best Warren; and a pig picking engagement party Oct. 28 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Sutton of Clinton hosted by the Suttons, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jones and Beatrice Thornton.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner April 13 at Bertram Inn’s McKinley room. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their parents.
