BROWN SUMMIT — Jennifer Clarisse Magoon and Jason David Tate of Greensboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. at The Summit, with the Rev. Robert Cook officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Lynn Magoon of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Wendell Magoon and the late Nancy Magoon of Greenfield, Mass., and the late Alfred and Dorothy Lively of Lady Lake, Fla.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with an undergraduate degree and the University of Memphis with a master’s degree. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist at Guilford County Schools.

The groom is the son of David and Sylvia Tate of Julian and the grandson of Gladys Jones and the late Floyd Jones of Julian.

He graduated from Guilford Technical Community College and attends North Carolina A&T State University’s mechanical engineering program. He is employed as an equipment repair technician at RF Micro Devices.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a satin A-line gown with a basket weave bodice.

Leigh Westbrook was matron of honor, while Bethany Gehrlein and Meridith Hemby were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Allison Gerardot and Kimberly Jones.

Justin Tate and Jason McDonald were best men.

Groomsmen were Adam Joyce, John Moore and Jeremy Westbrook.

Mara Flynn was flower girl.

Lorin Stubblefield distributed programs.

Heather Fields was the reader.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kimberly Jones, John Moore and Jimmy Martin, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to St. Thomas and St. Maarten, the couple reside in Greensboro.
