Burnett - Johnson
TAHOE VISTA, Calif. — Jennifer Michele Johnson and Scott Russell Burnett of Grass Valley, Calif., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. at on the shore of Lake Tahoe, with Marty Cohen officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joe Johnson of Goldsboro and Lorraine Mullineaux Dewsen of Grass Valley (formerly of Goldsboro), the stepdaughter of Jean Johnson of Goldsboro and Deo Dewsen of Grass Valley and the granddaughter of Betty “BJ” Johnson of Goldsboro, the late Joseph M. Johnson and Bernice Mullineaux Ambrose of Cameron Park, Calif., and the late Donald Mullineaux.
She is a 2002 graduate of Roseville High School.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore a white strapless satin gown with a pearl and beaded lace overlay and a split front with a sweep train.
Her Swarovski crystal and pearl tiara was attached to a two-tiered short veil dotted with pearls.
The bride carried a bouquet of long stem red roses tied with red ribbon.
Following the ceremony, a cake cutting and champagne toast was held. A formal dinner was held afterwards at Jakes on the lake of Tahoe City.
After a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe and Nevada, the couple reside in Grass Valley.
Events held before the wedding included a family dinner Sept. 2 at the Blue Agave of Tahoe City.
