Brittney Carol Morawski and Stephen Robert Rogers exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 13 at 4 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club, with the Rev. Willie J. Teachey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Edd and Julie Suggs of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Evelyn Ezzell, the late Julian Ezzell and Leamon Jr. and Dorothy Suggs of LaGrange.

She is a 2004 honor graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College with an Associate of Arts degree and attends the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

The groom is the son of Gail Rogers of Seven Springs and the grandson of Rose Edwards and the late Jacob Edwards of LaGrange.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2003 and attends the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for a Bachelor of Arts degree in film studies.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless Georgette gown with a beaded bodice with fabric gathering at the side with beadwork.

Her tiara adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls was attached to a fingertip veil with beaded flower accents.

The bride carried a round bouquet of pink and yellow roses.

Lyndsay Newman served her friend as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Heather Suggs, sister of the bride, and Crystal Williford, cousin of the bride.

William Rogers served as his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were James Jarrell, Damian Ashley, Michael Elliott and Jason Wedding, friends of the groom.

Robbie Morawski, brother of the bride, stood by her side.

Megan Barton, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Joshua Barton, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

Presiding at the register was Kelly Barton.

Special helpers were Violet Saviak and JoAnn Teachey.

A program of wedding music was provided by Linda Hawley.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Wilmington.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Aug. 5 at the home of April Hall, aunt of the groom; a bridal shower July 22 at the home of Evelyn Ezzell, grandmother of the bride; and a Hallmark shower June 11.

The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner Aug. 12 at Texas Steakhouse.
