Sara Lynn Hiatt and William Alexander Rouse III of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 29 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church, with Father Eugene Blazek officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David and Melanie Hiatt of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Janet Rock of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Rolland Rock of Keeseville, N.Y., and James and Connie Hiatt of Deming, N.M.

She is a 2003 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and attends East Carolina University for a degree in elementary education. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi. She is employed as a supervisor with Toby’s Hallmark.

The groom is the son of Linda Turner of Beautancus and William Rouse Jr. of Davenport, Iowa, and the grandson of Winifred Snider and the late Ros Gaskins of Goldsboro, Melda Simpson of Middleburgh, Fla., and the late William Rouse Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2001. He is employed as an autobody repairman with K and K Body Shop.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal beaded A-line strapless dress with a chapel-length train with beadwork.

Her three-tiered veil trimmed in white satin cord was attached to a beaded comb.

The bride carried a bouquet of yellow and lavender roses.

Jennifer Carcirieri served her friend as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Anne Hiatt, sister of the bride; Brittney Morawski, friend of the bride; and Kylie Rock, cousin of the bride.

Shawn Tripp served as his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Clay Jenkins and Steven Roberts, friends of the groom; and Joshua Hiatt, brother of the bride.

Abigayle Dickson, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Gage Turner, brother of the groom, was ringbearer.

Jamie Clark, aunt of the bride, and Chelsea Clark, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

Brett Clark, cousin of the bride, and Cathy Rock, aunt of the bride, were readers.

A program of wedding music was provided by Rebecca Tyndall, pianist, and Kenwyn Dapo, cousin of the bride, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Officers’ Club.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a honeymoon shower July 15 at the home of the bride’s friend hosted by the bride’s aunt, mother and friend; a shower June 10 at the home of the bride hosted by the maid of honor and sister of the bride; and a Hallmark shower May 21.

The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner July 27 at Logan’s Roadhouse.
