RALEIGH — Caroline Elizabeth Green of Raleigh and James H. Sutton III of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 15 at noon at St. Mark’s Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Dennis Adams.

The bride is the daughter of John and Marsha Green of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Iris Thorne, Wallace Thorne and the late Howard and Sue Green of Goldsboro.

She is a 2001 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2005 graduate of North Carolina State with a degree in English education. She is employed as an English teacher at Cary High School.

The groom is the son of James H. Jr. and Patrizia Sutton of Goldsboro and the grandson of Henry and Maria Bates of Minneapolis, Minn., and James Sr. and Barbara Sutton of Silver Springs, Md.

The groom graduated from Rosewood High School in 2000 and East Carolina University in 2006. He is employed as a mechanical designer with Morris and Associates.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory gown of silk tricotine with an empire waist and a shirred bodice with an overlap detail at the front and back.

She carried a clutch bouquet of white roses with white hydrangea.

Donnaire Mills served her friend as maid of honor.

Tri Myers served his friend as best man.

Jonathan Green, brother of the bride, was the usher.

Lee Adams directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Brad Collier, organist.

Following the ceremony, a luncheon reception was held at Irregardless Cafe of Raleigh.

The couple reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a shower May 7 hosted by women of Pine Forest Church.
