WHITEVILLE — Elizabeth Anne Warlick of Ayden and Robert Roosevelt Rice II of Greenville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 24 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leon Kendell Cameron Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Graham II and Harriet Haywood Warlick of Whiteville and the granddaughter of the late Jack F. and Nancy Harriet Wannamaker Haywood of Rockingham and the late James Graham and Evelyn Rochelle Fowler Warlick of Whiteville.

She is a graduate of Whiteville High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in elementary education. She is employed with Pitt County Schools as a fifth-grade teacher at Wintergreen Intermediate School in Greenville.

The groom is the son of Robert Taylor and Joyce Marie Marshall Rice of Mount Olive, the grandson of Odessa Marshall Ford, the late Marshall Jones and the late Robert Roosevelt and Mildred Rice of Aurora and the stepgrandson of Arthur Ford of Aurora.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School and North Carolina State University with a bachelor of science degree in business management and accounting. He is employed as a CPA with Richard R. Cox Accounting Agency of Greenville.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory strapless sheath gown of French illusion over matte satin with re-embroidered Alencon lace, seed pearl and a scalloped lace border at the hem.

She wore an ivory full-length fountain-style veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Jacqueline Beck served as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amber Rice, sister-in-law of the groom, Elizabeth Baker, Suzanne Beam, Joni Brooks, Terri Holston and Dr. Luan Lawson-Johnson.

Robert Taylor Price served as best man.

Groomsmen were Jonathan Marshall Rice, brother of the groom; James Graham Warlick III, brother of the bride; Russell Zurface, uncle of the groom; Christopher Ladd Jones; David Carroll Austin; Jeffrey Walter Robinson; and James Earl Williams Jr.

Jennifer Hicks, Renee Horne and April Simmons were honorary bridesmaids.

Gracie and Leah Beth Warrem were flower girls. James Bridger Warlick, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Sue Ellis Jordan directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. James Edgar Greer. Kelsey Carlton and Jordan Davis distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Donna Hughes Sanders, pianist; Nan Nance Leggett, organist; and Mr. and Mrs. Max Newton Greer, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Madison House of Whiteville.

After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple reside in Auden.

Events held before the wedding included parties in Greenville, Whiteville and Aurora and a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 23 at the home of Myrtle Cook Corbett hosted by Mrs. Corbett, Virginia Greet, Role Langston, Sue Joprdan, Sylvia Elkins and Lynda Williams.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Joe’s Banquet Center of Whiteville.
