ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Heather Nicole Wooddell of Albuquerque and William George Barclay of RAF Mildenhall, England, exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 17 at 5 p.m. at El Oso Grande Park, with the Rev. Bill Moulden officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Kimble and Patty Kearns of Ruidoso, N.M., and Charles Wooddell of Alamogordo, N.M., and the granddaughter of Herman and Toni Otero of Capitan, N.M., and retired Col. Edward and Marcia Wooddell of Venice, Fla.

She is a 1998 graduate of Capitan High School in Capitan and a 2002 graduate of the University of New Mexico with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications with a concentration in advertising and a minor in English with a concentration in professional writing.

The groom is the son of Becky Barclay of Goldsboro and Glenn Barclay of Findlay, Ohio, and the grandson of June Caldwell and the late Chester Caldwell of Indianapolis, Ind., and Lorraine Barclay and the late George Barclay of Findlay.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1998, Wayne Community College in 2000 with an associate of arts degree and the Community College of the Air Force with an associate degree. He is serving in the Air Force as a C-130 flight engineer stationed at RAF Mildenhall.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.

She wore a long white wedding gown of chiffon with an empire waist. It featured a floor-length veil.

She carried an arm bouquet of six roses tied with a copper bow.

Natalie Vogel served as her friend’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Stacy Baker, Eglis Pereyra, Hillary Montgomery and Jennifer Swisher.

David McClure of Goldsboro served as his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Brandon Proctor, Pablo Pereyra, John Tiesi and Steffen Heuser.

Jayden Wooddell, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Devon Byrd was the ringbearer.

Following the ceremony, the couple held a reception at the park.

After a wedding cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple will reside in England.

The couple held a rehearsal dinner June 16 at Garduno’s in Albuquerque.
