Shannon Diane Murchison and Wilford Valentin Sanchez exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 27 at 5 p.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church, with Elder Carl Davis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Elaine Murchison Seaberry and Howard Carmicheal of Goldsboro, the stepdaughter of the late John W. Seaberry and the granddaughter of the late Alvin and Bertha Lee Murchison of Bronx, N.Y.

She is a 1988 graduate of Goldsboro High School and attends North Carolina Wesleyan College for a degree in psychology and criminal justice. She is employed as a healthcare technician II cross shift trainer with O’Berry Center.

The groom is the son of Thomas Santos and Felipa Louise Caballero of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Jesus and Mary Sanchez of Chicago, Ill., and Max and Janie Caballero of Texas.

He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1992 and attends Devry University for a degree in computer information systems. He is employed as a quality technician with GAF Material Corp.

The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her son, Timothy N. Hobbs.

She wore an ivory side wrap A-line wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. It was matte duchess bridal satin with metallic thread embroidery and hand-sewn crystals. It had detachable English net sleeves embroidered with crystal that included a detailed wrap and purse.

The bride wore a gold tiara with diamond accents and pearls with an ivory veil.

She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses with lilies.

Carman Benjamin and Aquilla Boseman served as their sister’s matrons of honor, while Danielle Murchison, daughter of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Nina Sanchez and Jenna Caballero, sisters of the groom, and Arlene Exum, Shirlene Scott and Sonia Marrow, friends of the bride.

Monte Lane served as best man.

Ushers were Trayviar King, Dontay Boseman, Chris Boseman and Tori Carmichael, nephews of the bride.

Groomsmen were Jesse Sanchez and Paul Caballero, brothers of the groom; Harold Murc Murchison, brother of the bride; Jefferson Benjamin and Greg Boseman, brothers-in-law of the bride; Mycheal King, nephew of the bride; and Darwin Romero Jr., friend of the couple.

Latesha Boseman, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Miquan Donley, nephew of the bride, was the junior groomsman.

Jayla Sanchez, daughter of the couple, was the flower girl. Joseph Branden Romero, nephew of the groom, served as ringbearer.

Bernice Simmons directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Felicia Smith. Melvalene Greenfield and Regina Thomas, friends of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Patrick Atkinson, pianist and vocalist, and Chanda Williams, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

Out-of-town visitors were from Chicago, Virginia, Arizona, Texas, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and Indiana.

After a wedding cruise to the Caribbean, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal dinner July 9 at Madison’s hosted by friends, co-workers and Bernice Simmons; a bridal dinner June 2 at Ruby Tuesday’s hosted by friends and co-workers; a bridal dinner May 26 at the home of the bride hosted by the mother and sisters; and a bridal dinner May 11 hosted by friends and co-workers.
