EMERALD ISLE — Amie Elisabeth Parrish became the wife of Christopher Euguene Sasser April 29 at 5 p.m.

Chad Lefler officiated at the double-ring beach ceremony at the Park Place House.

Parents of the bride are Danny and Phyllis Parrish of Goldsboro.

Gene and Susie Sasser of Mount Olive are parents of the groom.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a diamond white strapless chiffon gown embellished with turquoise and iridescent Swarovski crystals, bugle beads and seed beads. The A-line gown had a corset back and a sweep train.

Tracey Drake, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Dana Parrish, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Taylor and Heather Kearney, friends of the bride, and Cindy Sasser, sister-in-law of the groom.

Gene Sasser, father of the groom, and Bill Sasser, brother of the groom, were best men. Groomsmen were Billy Brock Jr., Joel Smith, Allen Horton and Jimmy Gainey, friends of the groom.

Camber Sasser, niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Hayden Sasser, nephew of the groom, was the junior groomsman.

Darcy Sasser, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Liam Sasser, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

MaryBeth Crumpler, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Jerry Huffman and Stacey Turnage, friends of the couple.

Adam Montague, friend of the couple, was personal assistant.

A program of wedding music was provided by Danny Parrish, father of the bride, and Dana Parrish, sister of the bride.

After a wedding trip to Key West, Fla., the couple is residing in Indian Springs.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2002 graduate of Johnston Community College with a degree in graphic design. She is employed as a graphic designer with the Goldsboro News-Argus.

The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1992 and Wayne Community College in 1994. He is employed as a sales representative with Number One Builders and is owner of Life Saver Pool Fences of the Carolinas.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the Park Place House.

On April 28, a rehearsal dinner was held at the Park Place House. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.

Co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower March 28 at the Goldsboro News-Argus.

On March 11, friends of the groom held a lawn and garden shower.

Dana Parrish and Tracey Drake held a room-to-room shower March 4 at the Drake home.

On Feb. 19, family and friends of the groom held a bridal shower at the home of the groom’s mother.
