Vanessa Rae Salo of Seven Springs and Eddie Scott Beasley pledged their marriage promises May 13 at 4 p.m.

Dr. Jeffrey Wisdom officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Lane Tree Golf Club.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Denise Salo of Midlothian, Va. She is the granddaughter of Steven and Beverly Stroh of Anoka, Minn., and the late Edwin and Alice Salo of Andover, Ohio.

The groom is the son of Robert and Lillian “Susie” Beasley of Seven Springs. He is the grandson of the late Ben and Mamie Sellars of Calypso and the late Ed and Clara Beasley of Seven Springs.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of white organza over satin. The rouched bodice and waist were embellished with crystals and pearls. The A-line skirt draped to the side and flowed into a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of Swarovski crystals and pearls with an elbow-length veil enhanced with matching Swarovski crystals and pearls.

Teresa Salo, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Holley, sister of the bride, and Natalie Winders and Noelle Walston, friends of the bride.

Robert Beasley was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Neal Beasley, brother of the groom, and Robert Winders and Shelton Rouse, friends of the groom.

Madison McFee, friend of the couple, was flower girl. Josiah Salo-Harris, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Denise Salo directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Ashley Longwell, friend of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Bridgett Wise, friend of the couple, pianist, and Jessica Hightower, friend of the bride, vocalist.

After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas and Key West, Fla., the couple is residing in Seven Springs.

The bride is a graduate of Wayne Christian School. She attends Mount Olive College for a bachelor of science degree in recreation/leisure studies and a concentration in recreation therapy. She is employed as a direct care trainer with Skill Creations Inc.

The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School. He is employed as store manager of Piggly Wiggly of Mount Olive.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club.

On May 12, a rehearsal dinner was held at the Steak Barn. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.

Teresa Salo and Denise Salo held a bridal shower May 11 at the Village Green.

On May 5, Natalie Winders and Jessie Hightower held a lingerie shower at Texas Steakhouse.

The Cashwell family held a shower March 25 in Mount Olive.
