MOUNT OLIVE — Aubree Dawn Hargrove and Jeffrey Thomas Allen of Faison were united in marriage Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Michael K. Harrell officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The bride is the daughter of William H. “John” and Faye Hargrove of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of the late Charlie and Esther Holland and the late Harvey and Eva Hargrove.

Parents of the groom are Thomas Warren Allen of Faison and Connie Sue Crowley of Carolina Beach. He is the grandson of Betty Allen, the late Leon Thomas Allen, Patricia Shelton and the late Clifton Jenkins.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory imperial satin mock two-piece gown. The strapless bodice was encrusted with beading and embroidery and finished with piping. Beaded embroidery and inverted pleats encircled the full skirt with a chapel train.

For her headpiece, she chose a double-tiered veil of silk illusion trimmed in satin. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies with fern greenery wrapped in silk ribbon.

Sherry Hargrove Best of Faison, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Thomas Allen was his son’s best man. Ushers were Sid Price of Seven Springs and Shannon King of Faison, friends of the couple.

Katlyn Nicole Hargrove and Molly Elizabeth Best, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Will Hargrove, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Regina Newsome, sister of the bride, and Jessica Newsome, niece of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Tracy Watson, sister of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by Zina Carr, pianist, and Jeremy Newsome, nephew of the bride, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple is residing in Faison.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed at Warsaw Meats.

The groom graduated from North Duplin High School. He is employed with Duplin County Communications.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Jean Whaley, Lillie Deaver, Bertha Evans and Darlene Pyle, aunts of the bride, were servers. Attendants were Joy Weaver, Shirley Strickland, Sharon Hare, Amanda Hill and Dorothy Weaver. Special helpers were Brenda Gallimore and Kathy Barrow.

On May 5, the groom’s father and Tracy, sister of the groom, held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.
