Deanna Michelle Green became the wife of Phillip Frederick Klott of Snow Hill April 29.

Susan Lindblade officiated at the double-ring ceremony at St. James United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Phyllis Green of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of Theldon and Veloria Tew and the late Gordon and Merle Atkinston of Clinton.

Parents of the groom are Fred and Barbara Klott of Newport. He is the grandson of Douglas and Nadia Bright and Albert Frederick Sr. and Betty Klott of Cape May Court House, N.J.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless white satin A-line gown with silver embroidery. The bodice was adorned with swarovski crystals, sequins, bugle beads and rhinestones in a beaded motif with a curved Basque waist. The back bodice closed with satin-covered buttons accented with glass beads and swarovski crystals and flowed into a semi-cathedral train with a beaded motif.

For her headpiece, she chose a comb encrusted with pearls and crystals attached to a white fingertip veil with corded trim. She carried a cascading bouquet of starfighter lilies, roses, miniature calla lilies, larkspur, lysimachia and stephanotis.

Debra Green Roberts was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Dana Sweet, Blair Jones and Jennifer Hatch.

Joseph Klott was best man. Groomsmen were Gregory Bright, William Noble and Clay Sitter.

Savannah Lowe was flower girl. Tyler Lowe was ring bearer.

Mary Ann Sanford directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jennifer Noble. Amy Shivar distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Ila Strickland, pianist, and Kim Smith, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple is residing in Snow Hill.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She attended Wayne Community College. She is employed with Farm Bureau Insurance Co.

The groom graduated from West Carteret High School in 1994. He is serving in the Air Force stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Atlantic Event Center of Morehead City.

On April 28, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at St. James Church.

Friends of the bride held a bachelorette dinner April 22 at Torrero’s Restaurant.

On April 4, co-workers of the bride held a bridal luncheon.

Friends held a bachelor party and deep sea fishing trip April 1 in Morehead City.

On March 26, Debra Green Roberts held a bridal shower at the home of her mother.

Barbara Klott held a bridal shower March 25 at her home in Newport.

On March 18, the bride’s grandmother and aunts held a bridal shower at the home of the bride’s aunt.
