MOUNT OLIVE — Susan Michele Bradshaw and Kevin Earl Best were married April 8 at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Frank Purvis officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Eureka Christian Church.
Parents of the bride are Stephen Gilbert and Donna Cox Bradshaw of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Rayford Dee and Betty Condee Cox of Selma and Thomas Gilbert and Lois Lambert Bradshaw of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Johnnie Earl and Lee Ann Thornton Best of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Edna Thornton, the late Thomas Dillon Thornton, Agnes Rogers and the late Ralph Best of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a diamond white one-piece strapless lace-up corset back A-line chiffon gown with a ruched asymmetrical draped overlay highlighted with swarovski crystals. Ruching and crystals accented the back closure. It had a cathedral train.
For her headpiece, she chose an ivory elbow-length two-tiered veil with a pencil edging and scattered crystals.
For her headpiece, she chose a crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of cream white roses surrounded with ranuculus flowers and miniature white calla lilies hand-wrapped and tied with white ribbon.
Tabatha Bradshaw Hollingsworth was matron of honor. Alyssa Bradshaw was maid of honor.
Johnnie Best was best man. Ushers were Jonah Reese and Scott James. Groomsmen were Johnnie Brian Best and Miles Bradshaw.
Megan Peele was flower girl. Jacob and Matthew Hollingsworth were ring bearers.
Sue Hill directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Debra Britt. Lisa Reedy distributed programs.
Lee Joyner was a special helper.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist.
After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple is residing in Grantham.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse on the seventh floor of Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1998. He is self-employed with Best Painting Service.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dace reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.
On April 7, a rehearsal dinner was held at the Steak Barn.
The day and evening shifts of the seventh floor held a shower April 3 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A bachelor/bachorette weekend was held April 1.
On March 28, the night staff of the seventh floor held a shower at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Tina Peels, aunt of the bride, held a shower March 12 at Selah Church.
