Hamalainen - Rogers
LAGRANGE — Hailey Brooke Rogers and Eric Michael Hamalainen exchanged vows Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Brad Williamson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at LaGrange Christian Church.
Larry Rogers Jr. and Edna Stuart Rogers of LaGrange are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Jean Rogers of LaGrange, the late Larry Rogers Sr., the late Mae Benson of Wilmington and the late Earl Stuart of Wallace.
Steven and Mary Beth Hamalainen of Cary are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of George and Marilyn Perry of Goldsboro and the late Toivo and Mary Hamalainen of Hickory.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Kristin Mooring was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Severson, Amanda Lecher, Holli Rogers, Emily Brewer, Tiffany Trynor, Alissa Hamalainen and Jessica Hamalainen.
Steven Hamalainen was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Justin Castello, Brad Henry, Tom Nguyen, Chris Oldham, Larry Rogers and Daniel Hamalainen.
Laura Wooten directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Leigh Ann Herring. Kelly Shaw distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Ralph Smith, organist, and Pam and David Herring, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Cary.
The bride is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical and biological engineering. She is employed by Tecan as a technical support specialist.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. He is employed as a land surveyor with KCI.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.
Kaye Mooring held a bridesmaids’ luncheon Jan. 7 at her home.
On Jan. 7, Kristin Mooring, Amanda Lecher, Tiffany Trynor, Brittany Severson, Laura Wooten and Emily Brewer held a bachelorette party.
Sue and Kevin White, Stephanie and Deems Southard and Aubrey and Steven Miller held a couples’ shower Nov. 12 at LaGrange Arts Council.
On Oct. 15, Kristin Mooring held an around-the-clock shower at Michael Deans Restaurant.
Rhonda Monsees, Jill Boone, Teresa Severson, Ruth Harrison, Debbie Caulder and Nelda Johnson held a bridal shower Oct. 8 at the Monsees home.
On Sept. 17, Susan Perry held an entertainment shower at her home in Wilmington.
Larry and Holli Rogers held a stock-the-kitchen shower Sept. 10 at their home in Raleigh.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Billie’s.
