FREMONT — Lindsey Michelle Glosson of Raleigh became the bride of Albon Quentin Overman of Kenly Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Richard Glosson, father of the bride, and the Rev. C. H. Overman, uncle of the groom, officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Union Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Rev. Richard Allen and Jodie Rollins Glosson of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Johnnie Mae Rollins, Dewey Rollins of Goldsboro, the late Hattie Glosson and Willard Glosson of Mebane.

Larry Quentin and Lou Ann Gregory Overman of Pikeville are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Frank and Peggy Gregory of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Overman of Pikeville and the late Quentin Overman.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

Sharon Gardner, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Overman and Megan Overman, sisters of the groom, and Carrie McNabb, friend of the bride.

Larry Q. Overman was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Justin Showman, friend of the groom; David Sasser, brother of the bride; and Ken Gregory, uncle of the groom.

Maverick Blizzard was the junior groomsman.

Sharon P. Price, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Melissa P. Smith, friend of the couple. Tina Glosson, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Patsy Gardner, pianist; Elizabeth “Lizzy” Lee and Ken Caughron, vocalists; and Belinda Caughron, sound system.

After a wedding trip to Asheville, the couple is residing in Kenly. They will take another wedding trip to the Virgin Islands next year.

The bride is a graduate of Wayne Community College. She is employed as a dental assistant II with Carolina Dental Center of Raleigh.

The groom graduated from Wayne Community College. He is owner of Southern Landscape.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at their home.

Friends of the couple and their parents held a shower Oct. 30 at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

On Oct. 14, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Union Grove Church.

Coworkers of the bride held a shower and party Oct. 12 in Raleigh.

On Oct. 9, friends and family held a bridal shower at Union Grove Church.
