Cassie Jean Grady and Brandon Hugh Tucker exchanged promises Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.

The Rev. Wade Parker officiated at the double-ring ceremony at St. John Free Will Baptist Church.

James Glenn and Norma Swafford Grady of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mildred Morrow Swafford and the late C. L. Swafford of Huntsville, Ala., and Gertrude Ward Grady and the late Gordon Kenneth Grady of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Joe Jessie Jr. and Delaine Newcomb Tucker of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Jerry Mack and Ann Davis Denning and the late Joe Jessie and Addie Mae Tucker of Goldsboro.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin strapless A-line gown with rhinestone and embroidered designs across the bust and along the bottom edge. It had a chapel train and a row of buttons down the back center.

She carried calla lilies that cascaded with silver queen leaves and ivory.

Paige Grady Westbrook was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Price Roberts and April Diane Tucker.

Joe Jessie Tucker Jr. was best man. Ushers were Travis Lee Hollowell, Sampson Luv Westbrook Jr., Ranger Glenn Grady and Caleb Shane Rogers. Groomsmen were John Hugh Tyndall and Bradley Wayne Stevens.

Ashley Nichole Grady was flower girl.

Wanda Newcomb Tyndall directed the wedding and presided at the register. Victoria Lane Grady distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Dean Cox, pianist.

After a wedding trip to Boone, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College with an associate in fine arts and associate in applied science/mechanical engineering technology/drafting and design degree. She is employed as an engineering technician with Waukesha Electric Systems.

The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College. He is employed as an administrative/warehouse technician with Fleet Pride.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception at the church.

On Sept. 23, the groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner at St. John Church.
