ATLANTIC BEACH — Lisa Marie Dean and Clint Taylor of Kinston were married Sept. 10 at 4:30 p.m.

The Rev. David Harvin officiated at the double-ring private beach ceremony at Fort Macon State Park.

Jody and Linda Dean of LaGrange are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Aliean Daughtry, the late Emmett Daughtry and B.E. and Frances Dean of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Ann Golson of Kinston and Tommy Taylor of Snow Hill. He is the grandson of Mattie Quinn and the late Wait Quinn of Kinston.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a fitted ivory spaghetti strapped gown encrusted with crystals and pearls.

For her headpiece, she chose a handmade ivory veil of mid-length embroidered with crystals and pearls. She carried ivory roses and periwinkle.

Christy Dean-Benson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Jeremy Lane was his friend’s best man.

Taylor Barrow, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Trey Benson, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

A program of wedding music was provided by Darla Vick of Beaufort, violinist.

After a wedding trip to the Florida Keys, the couple is residing in Morehead City.

The bride is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She attends East Carolina University’s graduate school of education.

The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor of science degree in marine biology. He is employed as an aquarist at the North Carolina State Aquarium.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the home of the couple. Sandra Loftin and Ashley Loftin of LaGrange were servers.

On Aug. 27, Sandra Loftin and Ashley Loftin, friends of the bride’s family, held a recipe luncheon at the Loftin home.

The groom’s mother and Paula Flanagan, aunt of the groom, held a bride and groom shower Aug. 23 at Carraway’s Restaurant of Kinston.

On Aug. 13, Dorothy Daughtry, aunt of the bride, held a tea party at Lydia’s Tea Room of Kinston.

The bride’s mother and Christy Dean-Benson, sister of the bride, held a bridal shower July 23 at St. Luke United Methodist Church.
