Gilbert - Reinhard
NORFOLK, Va. — Andrea Michelle Reinhard and Jacob William Gilbert exchanged promises Aug. 27 at 11 a.m.
Dr. Rod Bell Sr. and Pastor James Baker officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Friendship Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Johnnie Faye Letchworth-Bland and William A. Bland of Norfolk, Va. She is the granddaughter of Dean and Pearl Head of Goldsboro and the late Johnny P. Letchworth and Sara Letchworth of Mount Olive.
The groom is the son of Bill Eugene and Melissa Gilbert of Virginia Beach, Va. He is the grandson of Lamar and Sandra Starkey of Mobile, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Royce Gilbert of Houston, Texas.
Given in marriage and escorted by her mother and stepfather, the bride wore a full-length gown of ivory satin.
For her headpiece, she chose a cabachon tiara. She carried a nosegay of Chicago peace roses with ivory ribbon.
Tiffany Reed, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Staci Reinhard, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Bill Gilbert was his son’s best man. Ushers were Ernest Childs, Chris Robinson and Elmer Reed, friends of the couple.
Alana Reed and Alexandria Phillips were flower girls. Jacob Phillips was ring bearer.
Cynthia Childs directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Paula Cobb, aunt of the bride. Rachel Cobb, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by William Bernstein Jr., organist.
After a wedding trip, the couple is residing in Virginia Beach.
The bride is a graduate of Tabernacle Baptist School of Virginia Beach and a summa cum laude graduate of Old Dominion University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in history. She is employed as a manager with Nexcom.
The groom graduated from Tabernacle Baptist School. He attended Old Dominion University. He is employed with Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Department as a deputy sheriff.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church’s A.P. Parker hall. Pamela Letchworth of Wilson, aunt of the bride, and Alysha Castleberry of Mobile, aunt of the groom, cut the three-tiered wedding cake. Rachel Cobb distributed bubbles.
The bride’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Aug. 26 at Uptown Restaurant Norfolk.
On Aug. 14, LeRoya Phillips, Cynthia Childs and Mary Martin, friends of the couple, and Staci Reinhard, sister of the bride, held a shower at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Pearl Head of Goldsboro, grandmother of the bride, and Angela Letchworth of Goldsboro and Paula Cobb and Pamela Letchworth of Wilson, aunts of the bride, held a shower July 24 at Harvest Baptist Church.
On July 23, the bride’s mother; Paula Cobb and Pamela Letchworth of Wilson, aunts of the bride; and Pearl Head of Goldsboro, grandmother of the bride, held a lingerie shower at Fujis of Wilson and at the Letchworth home.
Emily Davis, Staci Reinhard, Tiffany Reed, Stephanie Richards and friends held a bachelorette party at the Richards home in Virginia Beach.
