PINK HILL — Ava Susan Cole of Albertson became the bride of Michael Gerald Whaley of Albertson June 4 at 2 p.m.
The Rev. James Elliot Oliver officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Maxwell’s Mill Pond.
Parents of the bride are the late Edward Clarence and Doris Lane Merritt of Kinston.
The groom is the son of Ruby F. Whaley and the late James J. Whaley Sr. of Seven Springs.
After a wedding trip to Topsail Island beach, the couple is residing in Albertson.
