RALEIGH — Wendy Leigh Brinson became the wife of Zackary Everett Burnett July 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Dr. William W. Leathers III officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Greystone Baptist Church.

Kathryn Davis Thatcher of North Topsail Beach, Jerry Wallace Brinson of Raleigh and the late Donald Thurston Thatcher are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late the late Harold and Evelyn Davis and the late M.D. Brinson and Dolly Brinson of Goldsboro.

Thurman Everett and Susan Leathers Burnette of Raleigh are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Zack and Augusta Burnette of Oxford and the late William and Louise Leathers of Henderson.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Rob Brinson, and mother and escorted by her brother.

She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white daises.

Amy Ingram was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Beth Burnette, Brooke Lawrence, Adrian Phillips and Robin Re.

Thurman Burnette was best man. Ushers were Mazda Berenjian, Timothy Davis, John Hamlet and Thomas Thurmbuchler. Groomsmen were David Hardy, David Lineberry, Christopher Shelton and Chad Stockert.

Kenedy Thatcher, niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.

Maggie Thatcher was flower girl.

Jeri Massey directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Kelly Hardy and Alyson Lineberry.

A program of wedding music was provided by Ruth Hafley, organist; Audrey Austin, vocalist; and Bob Hinson, trumpeter.

Kim Scott, cousin of the bride, was Scripture reader.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Raleigh.

The bride is a graduate of North Carolina State University. She is employed at Saleeby Chiropractic Centre as a chiropractic assistant.

The groom graduated from Mount Olive College of Raleigh. He is employed as a manager at The Walking Co.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Crabtree Marriott of Raleigh.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Casa Carbone.

Family and friends held parties and showers.
