LAGRANGE — Sabrina Nichole Scott of Raleigh and Jeffery Brian Crisp of Raleigh exchanged promises June 18 at 2:30 p.m.

The Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiated at the single-ring ceremony at Garris Chapel United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Debra Marie Scott and Kevin Lane Smith of Deep Run and Mr. and Mrs. James Patrick Scott of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of Mary Ann King and Monroe Mundell and Lydia Welborn of New Bern and James Rayford and Nancy Victoria Scott of LaGrange.

The groom is the son of Ward Madison and Wanda Crisp of Bryson City. He is the grandson of the late Ralph and Vinnie Nations of Whittier and Marian Crisp and Albert Crisp of Bryson City.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory matte stain gown with a wrap waist and a semi-cathedral-length train. The bodice was enhanced with hand-beaded Alencon lace with pearls and sequins.

For her headpiece, she chose flowers and pearls with an ivory veil with crystals around the edge. She carried a bouquet of cream calla lilies, lavender daisies, freesia and tube roses.

Stephanie Scott of LaGrange was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Tran and Laney Brown of Raleigh.

Ward Crisp was best man. Groomsmen were Zachary Little of Clayton and Jason Nations of Knoxville, Tenn.

Rianna Scott of LaGrange was flower girl. Ashton Slagle of Cape Hatteras was ring bearer.

Sally Watson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kaye Scott, aunt of the bride. Melissa Crisp, sister of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Anne Turner, pianist, and Tyron Corbett, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple is residing in Raleigh.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Greene Central High School and a 2002 graduate of Meredith College with a bachelor of science degree in child development and a minor in psychology and a birth through kindergarten licensure. She is employed as an education coordinator with Easter Seals UCP Charlie Graddy Center of Raleigh.

The groom graduated from Swain County High School in 1996 and North Carolina State University in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He is employed as a civil engineer with Crowley and Associates Inc. of Wake Forest.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Holiday Inn Express. Amy Scott, aunt of the bride, was coordinator.

On May 21, Amy Scott and Kaye Scott held a shower in Goldsboro.

Sandra Perrigo held a shower April 30 in Bryson City.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Garris Chapel.
