Lindsay Denise Woodard and Jonathan Ryan Ange pledged their wedding vows July 23 at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Phil Ange officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Roy Mike and Karen Woodard of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Jean Snead, the late Roy Woodard and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Chesser of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Snowden of Ocala, Fla.

Parents of the groom are the Rev. Phil and Carolyn Ange of Macclesfield. He is the grandson of James D. and Margaret Moore of Jonesborough, Tenn. and Dr. Joseph and Hazel Ange of Raleigh.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a bodice of pearls and beading. The A-line skirt cascaded into a grand cathedral-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a two-layered elbow-length veil with a crystal border attached to a tiara with a floral embellishment of pearls and rhinestones.

Julie Scott of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Hopkins, Julie Ange and Joy Ange of Greenville, sisters of the groom, and Lauren Horne of Washington, Fran Dillard of Gastonia and Karen Cousar of Raleigh, friends of the bride.

Joseph Ange of Greenville was his brother’s best man. Ushers were Justin Harris of Wendell and Joshua Harris of Greenville. Groomsmen were Jeremy Hopkins of Greenville, brother-in-law of the bride; Michael Woodard of Virginia Beach, Va., brother of the bride; Jeremiah Knight and Chris Harris of Greenville and Michael Paramore of Raleigh, friends of the groom; and Brent Little of Raleigh, cousin of the groom.

Meredith Clark was the junior bride. Cutler Harris was the junior groom and bell ringer.

Mary Woodard of Virginia Beach, sister-in-law of the bride, was the honorary bridesmaid.

Conner Harris, friend of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Madeline Clark and Hannah Harris were flower girls. Tolar Harris was ring bearer.

Sue Floars directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jennifer Haas. Blaire Floars distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jan Haas, pianist; Kevin Denton, Amber Mann, Chris Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Hopkins, vocalists; Anna Lee Crumpton, harpist; and Dr. Mike Paramore, guitarist.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Amory, Miss.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Faith Christian Academy and a 2005 graduate of Southeastern Free Will Baptist College with a bachelor of science degree in teacher education. She is employed as a teacher with Amory Christian Academy.

The groom graduated from Greenville Christian Academy in 2001 and Southeastern Free Will Baptist College in 2005 with honors with a bachelor of arts degree in pastoral theology. He is employed as associate pastor with First Free Will Baptist Church of Mississippi.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Don and Jessica Clark, friends of the couple, greeted guests.

On July 21, Kathy Woodard, aunt of the bride, held a bridesmaids’ luncheon.

Julie Scott held a lingerie shower July 21 at the home of Jan Haas in Goldsboro.

On June 27, a shower was held at Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

A shower was held June 5 at Liberty Church of Greenville.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Lane Tree Golf Club.
