DUDLEY — Jessica Nicole Moody of Goldsboro and Brandon Douglas Hood of Goldsboro were united in holy matrimony July 2 at 1 p.m.

Dennis Pollock officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Brogden Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Ted Jr. and Bonnie Lane Moody of Dudley. She is the granddaughter of Christine Lane and the late Jim Lane of Goldsboro and Emma Potter and Buddy Moody of Dudley.

The groom is the son of Jo Ann Whitfield of Goldsboro and William Douglas Hood of Pine Level. He is the grandson of the late Walter and Virginia Whitfield and Phillip and Francis Hood of Goldsboro.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin with a strapless neckline and a pleated empire bodice accented with beadwork. The A-line skirt was adorned with Austrian crystals and pearls at the hemline and cascaded into a semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a comb of rhinestone and pearls that extended into a veil of silk illusion adorned with scattered pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, carnations and calla lilies accented with seed pearls.

Jenna Chrisman was matron of honor. Elizabeth Tyner was the bridesmaid.

Daniel Hood was best man. Ushers were Jeffrey Chrisman and Darren Woodard. Ricky Tew was the groomsman.

Makaylah and Kylie Patterson were flower girls. Dwayne Strickland was ring bearer.

Renee Parker and Melissa Gregory directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Michelle Gregory.

Molly Weaver was a special helper.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jeffrey Lane, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed as a machine operator with Cooper Standard Automotive.

The groom graduated from Wayne Community College in 1999. He served in the Coast Guard. He is employed as a fork lift operator with Georgia Pacific.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

On June 5, the couple’s mothers held a bridal shower at the home of the couple.

A rehearsal dinner was held in the church fellowship hall.
