Marilyn Potter Grantham and Philip Michael Wallace of Coats said their wedding promises June 11 at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Jason Sherman officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Black Jack Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Gaynell and J.R. Potter of Goldsboro.

Parents of the groom are Janice and Bobby Wallace of Louisburg.

Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her son-in-law, Brian Jennette, the bride wore a white strapless A-line gown of matte satin. The bodice of the gown featured a split-front accented with seed pearls and sequins. The skirt featured seed pearls and sequins and flowed into a chapel-length train.

She carried pink roses.

Brandy Jennette of Mount Olive, daughter of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Margaret Spiron, Brenda Garner and Linda McCoy of Goldsboro, friends of the bride.

Shane Wallace of Coats was his father’s best man. Groomsmen were David Baggett of Dunn and Danny Hodges of Benson, friends of the groom, and Travis Wallace of Coats, son of the groom.

Ally Jones was flower girl. Joshua Miller was ring bearer.

Renee Hinson and Ann Shaw directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Christina Wallace. Linda Wallace distributed programs.

A program of music was provided by Pam Jones, pianist, and Steve Jones and Doug “Tater” Smith, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a employed as a nurse with Eastern ENT Sinus and Allergy Center.

The groom is employed as a superintendent with Carneal Downey Construction Co. of Raleigh

Following the ceremony, a dessert reception was held at Black Jack Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church fellowship hall. Joanne Clark served the wedding cake. Emily Jenkins poured punch. Steve and Wendy Jones and Judy Kennedy greeted guests.

On May 15, Linda McCoy held a miscellaneous shower at her home.

Co-workers of the bride held a lingerie shower May 13 at Torero’s Restaurant.

On May 1, Brian and Brandy Jennette held a pantry shower at their home.

The couple held a rehearsal dinner at Western Sizzlin.
