Casie Ann Kramer of Goldsboro and Nathaniel Brooks Grimes of Fremont were united in holy matrimony May 14.

Steve Morris officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Kenly Missionary Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of LouAnn Laughlin Latham. She is the granddaughter of Norma Laughlin of Goldsboro and Warren C. Laughlin of Ft. Myers, Fla.

David Gerald Grimes and Anita Salkill Grimes are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of David and Lela Mae Grimes of Wilson and Loren and Eleanor Salkill of Fremont.

Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her grandfather, the bride wore a formal gown of white matte satin and crystal organza with a halter neckline. The fitted bodice was embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls. The A-line skirt fell into a chapel-length train with beaded lace appliques.

For her headpiece, she chose a double-tiered veil of silk illusion and pearls attached to a tiara made of crystal and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of lavander and white roses, calla lilies and garden greenery.

Sarah Walker was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Grimes, sister-in-law of groom, and Regina Russo, Jennifer Holloman and Kristen Edge, friends of bride.

David Gerald Grimes was his son’s best man. Ushers were Brandon Grimes and Ashton Grimes, brothers of groom; Zachary Harmon, cousin of groom; and Travis Mooring, friend of groom.

Anna Blayke Etheridge, friend of bride, was flower girl. Gabriel Grimes, nephew of groom, was ring bearer.

Alicia Harmon, aunt of groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Connie Kammler, aunt of bride. Brooke Kammler, cousin of bride, distributed programs.

A program of music was provided by Gary Walston, pianist and vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Emerald Isle, the couple is residing in Fremont.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She attended Wayne Com-munity College. She is employed as is a loan operations specialist with the Credit Department at Heritage Bank of Lucama.

The groom attended Charles B. Aycock High School. He is employed as a groundsmen and equipment operator at Mastec.

Following the ceremony, a reception was in the church fellowship hall. Lisa Moot, friend of the couple, served refreshments. Tammy Salkill, aunt of groom, cut and served the wedding cake.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner May 13 in the church fellowship hal.

On April 23, Gerald Grimes, Loren Salkill, Brandon Grimes and Zach Harmon held a lawn, garden and tool shower at the home of the couple.

LouAnn Latham and Anita Grimes held a miscellaneous shower April 16 at the home of the couple.
