PRINCETON — Crystal Smith of Dudley and Shannon Alexander of Dudley said their marriage vows April 30 at 2 p.m.

Ferrell Hardison officiated at the single-ring ceremony at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon Howell of Suitland, Md. She is the granddaughter of A.J. and Goldie Howell of Dudley.

The groom is the son of David and Judy Alexander of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Norma Price of Burlington, Betty Alexander of Raleigh, the late Tallie B. Price and the late Joseph Alexander.

Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her brother, John Howell, the bride wore an A-line strapless ivory satin gown accented with blue streamers that draped from under the bustline around to the back with a streamer that flowed on each side of the semi-cathedral train. Blue beaded clustered jewels flowed throughout the dress.

For her headpiece, she chose jewels and pearls decorated with hearts with a two-tiered ivory veil accented with jewels on each tier. She carried a bouquet of silk blue flowers.

Alyssa Howell and Tiffany Moreland were maids of honor.

David Alexander was best man. Ushers were Brandon Faucette and Kevin Holloman. Groomsmen were Shawn Alexander and Kevin Holloman.

Anna Stover was the miniature bride. Collin Alexander was the miniature groom.

Savanna Alexander was flower girl. Collin Alexander was ring bearer.

Kirsten Stovall and Emmy Haveri directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Jackie Cruse.

A program of wedding music was provided by Andy Stovall and Jane Shattuck, vocalists.

The couple is residing in Dudley.

The bride is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed as an insurance agent with Brent King Nationwide.

The groom graduated from Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is employed as a purchasing agent with Best Distributing.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church Carpenter’s house.
