GREENVILLE, S.C. — Heather Lynne Taylor and Matthew Alan Tracy said their promises March 26 at 11 a.m.

Dr. Ken Collier officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Hampton Park Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Lynn Taylor of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Tillman and Edna Smith of Middlesboro, Ky., and the late James Albert and Julia Taylor of Ewing, Va.

Parents of the groom are Alan and Debby Tracy of Denver, Colo. He is the grandson of Harold and Nora Tracy of Denver, the late Roy McGlothlin and Wanda McGlothlin of Los Lunas, N.M.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white bridal satin. The sleeveless bodice and A-line skirt were encrusted with pearls and sequin snowflakes and flowed into a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a diamond tiara with a two-tiered veil of pencil-edged illusion scattered with snowflakes. She carried a bouquet of fresh-cut pink tulips hand-tied with ribbon fastened with pearl pins.

Candace Fougere of Madison Heights, Mich., friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Tanya Baxter of Greenville, S.C., friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Branigan of Greenville, S.C., Jill Lagger of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Victoria Thaxton of Taylors, S.C., friends of the bride; Melanie Taylor of Princeton, sister-in-law of the bride; and April Tracy of Greenville, S.C., sister of the groom.

Alan Tracy was his son’s best man. Ushers were Nathan Barbers of Brevard, cousin of the groom; Andrew DalPorto and Steven Stodola of Brevard, friends of the groom; and Jimmy Taylor Jr. of Princeton, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Keven Doan and Calvin Mair of Brevard, Damien Grout of Pensacola, Fla., Matthew McCarthy of Winston-Salem and Matthew Silver of Greenville, SC., friends of the groom, and Christopher Tracy of Denver, brother of the groom.

Kiera McGowan of Greenville, S.C., friend of the bride, was flower girl. Aidan Doan was ring bearer.

Dee Hall and Tanya Baxter directed the wedding. Presiding at the guest book were Allison Loudermilk and Elizabeth Ceballos. Presiding at the gift table was Jamie Copeland. Allison Galloway and Stacy Beinhorn distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Leah Webster and Tara Walters, pianists, and Jennifer Neal, Wendy Branigan, Dr. Christopher Gilliam and Craig Stouffer.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Brevard.

The bride is a 1999 honor graduate of Wilson Christian Academy and a 2003 magna cum laude graduate of Bob Jones University with a degree in counseling. She is employed as office manager with The Wilds Christian Camp.

The groom graduated from Silver State Baptist School in 1994 and Pensacola Christian College in 1999 with a degree in elementary education. He is employed as a cook with The Wilds Christian Camp.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Sheri DalPorto was coordinator. Bethany Burton cut the five-tiered wedding cake. Servers were Lori Babers, Megan Dail, Melissa Gons, Jennifer Hinnant, Ben McCary, Bryan McKinnon and Cheryl Stout.

On May 15, Janice Beck, Janet Dail and Roxanne Silva will hold a reception at Grace Baptist Church.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner March 24 at Port City Java. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.

Ladies of The Wilds held a shower Feb. 28.

On Feb. 12, Debi Neal held a floating bridal shower at her home.
