SALEMBURG — Lindsey Carol Daw and Ronnie Graham Cashwell Jr. were united in holy matrimony Saturday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Ivan Byrd officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Freedom Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Daw of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late James and Rossie Dixon of Mount Olive and the late Marvin Daw and Margaret Daw of Pikeville.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Cashwell Sr. of Raleigh and Dianne Cashwell of Roseboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Darius E. Sr. and Hilda S. Spell and the late Graham and Iula Cashwell of Clinton.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line satin gown of pearls and bugle beads. It was adorned with pearls and bugle beads on a band top that flowed onto the back of the gown. The chapel-length train had a split back of satin, pearls and bugle beads.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of rhinestone and Austrian crystals with an elbow-length veil of silk illusion. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses and greenery with hints of apple red, purple and baby’s breath.

Natalie Medlin, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Lacey Daw, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Smith of Dudley and Catrinia Edgerton of Clinton, friends of the bride, and Shannon Cashwell of Apex, sister of the groom.

Ronnie Graham Cashwell Sr. was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Chris Medlin, Chris Gainey, Dax Register and William Pope. Ushers were Ben Jones, Lynn Pope and Max Autry.

Jurney Lynn Rouse, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Kaye Warwick and Jo Ann Herring directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Beth Gainey. Jennifer McDaniel distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Sue Fann, pianist; Janet Holliday-Cashwell, vocalist; and Gary Warwick.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Roseboro.

The bride is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College with a degree in dental assisting. She is employed as a dental assistant with Dr. Deborah Broyles of Clinton.

The groom graduated from Midway High School and James Sprunt Community College with an associate of applied science degree. He is employed with Sprint of Fayetteville.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Bobby and Rhonda Spell, uncle and aunt of the groom, greeted guests. Butch and June Gayle Spell, uncle and aunt of the groom, said good-byes. Doris Darden, friend of the bride’s family, cut the wedding cake. Lori Dixon Goodman, cousin of the bride, poured punch.

On Oct. 3, aunts and cousins of the bride held a miscellaneous shower in Mount Olive.

Jennifer Smith, friend of the bride, held a lingerie shower Oct. 1 at her home in Dudley.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.
