Bell - Worley
Cecilia Dawn Worley and Braxton Davin Bell were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Patrick Muston officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Saint Luke United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Claudia Gaye Best of Micro and David Dean Worley of Weaverville. She is the granddaughter of Norma M. Wilkerson of Goldsboro, the late Ira Lee Best, the late Billy Ray Wilkerson and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Worley of Marshall.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Bell of Warsaw. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Phillips and Lola Jones Bell of Warsaw and the late Braxton Danner Bell.
Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless gown with a stain lace-up bodice and a full organza skirt with a cathedral-length train accented with gold embroidery. It was highlighted by an ivory veil with rum satin piping adorned with crystals and half pearls.
For her headpiece, she wore a matching tiara of clustered ivory and champagne pearls with scattered rhinestones. She carried a cascading bouquet of whit cymbidian orchids, stephanotis and white roses with trailing Italian ruscus.
English Worley of Kenly, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Worley of Micro, sister of the bride, and Christy Webster of New Bern, sister of the groom.
Phil Bell was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were David Webster of New Bern, brother-in-law of the groom, and Greg Allen of Warsaw, friend of the groom.
Honorary bridesmaids were Lyndi Mitchell, Gretchen Tucker and Jessica Swinson of Mount Olive and Crystal Thornton of Benson. Honorary ushers were Felix McCullen of Faison and Brent McCullen of Leland, cousins of the bride.
Morgan Worley of Kenly, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Shaun McCullen of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, was the junior groom.
Emily Peacock of Goldsboro directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. David Wilkerson of LaGrange, uncle and aunt of the bride. Britney McCullen of Leland and Haley McCullen of Goldsboro, cousins of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Sherry Aycock and Rick Pridgen, vocalists; Scott Pagona, trumpeter; and Bess Edwards-Sawyer of Goldsboro.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple is residing in Warsaw.
The bride is a graduate of North Duplin High School. She attends James Sprunt Community College. She is employed at Friedman’s Jewelry of Clinton.
The groom graduated from James Kenan High School. He is employed at Berry Enterprises of Kenansville.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phillips of Warsaw, uncle and aunt of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. David Wilkerson of LaGrange greeted guests. Nyra Evans and Melinda Wilkerson, aunts of the bride, served the three-tiered white Renaissance wedding cake with cascading flowers shaped in a spiral design that flowed down. Jan Holt aunt of the groom, and Carrie Holt, cousin of the groom, poured punch. The groom’s father gave the toast.
On Oct. 22, the groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner at the Gray Fox of Warsaw. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
Jeanette Bell of Warsaw held a dinner Oct. 20 at Billie’s Backstreet Restaurant.
On Oct. 19, employees of Southern Bank of Warsaw held a supper at the Country Squire Restaurant of Warsaw.
English Worley and Julie Worley, sisters of the bride, held a bed, bath and lingerie shower Oct. 17 at the home of Norma Wilkerson, grandmother of the bride.
On Oct. 15, Shelby Heath of Clinton, aunt of the bride, held a dinner at the Oasis Restaurant of Clinton.
Gretchen Tucker, Jessica Swinson and Lyndi Mitchell of Mount Olive held a girls’ night out party Oct. 6 at Alltel Pavilion.
Christy Webster of New Bern, sister of the groom, held a miscellaneous bridal shower Sept.. 18 at the home of the groom’s parents.
