Kelly Frances Weaver and Nathaniel Timothy Rouse of Goldsboro exchanged promises Saturday, Oct. 9 at 3:30 p.m.

The Rev. Charles Moseley officiated at the ceremony at Saulston United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Bill Weaver of Indianapolis, Ind., and Deborah Weaver of Pikeville. She is the granddaughter of Martha McLaurin of Kinston, the late B.E. McLaurin of Dunn and the late Mr. and Mrs. William R. Weaver of Flovilla, Ga.

Parents of the groom are Benjamin and Jackie Rouse of Dover.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory brocade strapless gown with a fitted bodice and waist and a trailing tulip skirt beneath a matching full-length coat with a satin-lined collar and cuffs held at the waist with a jeweled button.

She chose a multi-stone headpiece encrusted with Swarovski crystals, varied crystals and pearls with a mid-back two-tiered veil. She carried a bouquet of purple roses, snapdragons and chrysanthemums wrapped with ivory satin ribbon.

Celia Moseley Kelly was matron of honor. Paula Sullivan was the bridesmaid.

Danny Rouse of Kinston was his brother’s best man. Victor Baker of Ohio was the groomsman SSgt. Thomas Litteer was the usher.

Vivian Kelly was flower girl. Jeremy Weaver, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Presiding at the register was Jewel Frazier, friend of the bride. Krista Posey, niece, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Bess Edwards-Sawyer, pianist; a brass ensemble of Doug Tart, trumpeter, Lou Ellen Wilson, French horn, and the Rev. Ron Fletcher of Kinston, trombonist and vocalist.

After a wedding trip to New Orleans, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 1998 graduate of Wayne Community College with a degree in drafting and design engineering technology. She is employed with APV Products.

The groom graduated from West Craven High School in 1990. He served in the Navy. He is employed by Firestone of Wilson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Falling Creek Country Club of Kinston.

On Oct. 8, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner.

Celia Kelly held a bachelorette party Oct. 2 at her home.

On Sept. 16, Angie Smith and co-workers of the bride held a bridal shower.

Debbie Smith held a bridal shower brunch Aug. 21 at her home in Princeton.
