Amanda Darlene Wiseman of Raleigh and Stephen Allen Johnson of Raleigh said their vows Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.

Scott Sauls officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pike’s Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Douglas and Darlene Wiseman of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Billy and Beulah Howell of Goldsboro, the late Gene and Gaynell Wiseman and and the late Ella “Pete” Langston.

Parents of the groom are Keith and Kathy Johnson of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Melvin and Lela Price of Mount Olive and the Betty Stafford of Dudley.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white matte satin strapless gown accented with re-embroidered Alencon lace appliqués embellishing the bodice and the full A-line skirt. The scalloped lace edge encircled the neckline and hemline of the gown. The back featured a corset-style back and finished with a semi-cathedral-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a comb with white seed pearls accented with crystals detached from a two-tiered elbow-length veil with a rolled edge decorated with rhinestone flowers on the top tier. She carried a bouquet of purple and white roses enhanced with baby’s breath and pearl beads.

Heidi Wiseman, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Fortson, sister of the groom; Tara Rogers, friend of the bride; and Jackie Cruse and Crystal Haybarker, cousins of the bride.

Keith Johnson was his son’s best man. Ushers were Julian Fritz and Jamie Anderson, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Fortson, brother of the groom; Josh Wilder and Christopher Odum, friends of the groom; and Tyler Wiseman, brother of the bride.

Anna Wells was flower girl. Jacob Blankenship was ring bearer.

Sherry Rogers directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Michael Benfield.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kent Bizzell, pianist, and Brad Benson, vocalist.

Rick Nordman greeted guests.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., and Hawaii, the couple will reside in Raleigh.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a graduate of Johnston Community College with an associate degree in science. She attended Pitt Community College for specialization in radiation therapy. She is employed as a radiation therapist with Duke Hospital.

The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2001. He is co-owner of Sweep Away and is employed with the State Employee Credit Union of Raleigh.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church family life center. Kathy Mullis and Dolly Outlaw cut the wedding cake. Roma Wilder poured punch.

On Sept. 17, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner luau at Pike’s Crossoads Church.

Family and friends held a miscellaneous shower at the home of the groom’s parents.

Karen Hammon and Kim Sullivan held a basket shower at the Hammon home.

Tara and Sherry Rogers held a lingerie shower.

Co-workers of the bride held a miscellaneous shower at Duke Hospital.

Friends of the groom held a bachelor party in Topsail Island.

Friends of the bride held a bachelorette party in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Raleigh.
