PIKEVILLE — Natalie Marie Rouse and Michael E. Everett III said their marriage vows July 31 at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Barry Stallings officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Frederick P. and Jane C. Rouse of Pikeville. She is the granddaughter of the late John P. Creech and Carrie Marie Creech of Snow Hill and the late Jesse Willard Rouse and Daisy Rouse of Kinston.

The groom is the son of Michael Jr. and Daphne E. Everett of Princeton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Sawrey Jr. of Goldsboro, the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Evans of Princeton and the late Michael Everett Sr.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white matte satin and organza gown accented with beaded spaghetti straps. The fitted bodice was embellished with beaded embroidery trimmed with a jeweled pattern along the waistline and neckline. The A-line skirt had a split front accented with a ribbon edging and beaded Venise lace and flowed into a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a silver tiara of rhinestones and pearls with a fingertip-length veil accented with crystal and pearls. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and pink roses accented with gypsophila and tree fern tied with white satin ribbon.

Freda Rouse, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Subha Kolluru of Goldsboro, Kristen Audrey of Fremont and Corie Mellinger of High Point, friends of the bride, and Regina Everett of Princeton, sister of the groom.

David DeMaria was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Joseph Franklin III of Pikeville and Michael Rhodes of Garner, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Mike Jones and Brian Holloman of Goldsboro and B.J. Sintay of Winston-Salem, friends of the groom, and Dan Stovall of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom.

Michael Everett Jr., father of the groom, was the honorary best man.

Beth Stovall, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Ben Stovall, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.

Paula Waters directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Patti Stovall and Shana Koegal. Nicholas and Brittney Creech distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Melanie Horton, pianist; Anna Lee Crumpton, harpist; Jane Shattuck, Willie Sawrey and Dana Sawrey, vocalists; and Brent Shattuck, sound technician.

After a wedding trip to Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York, the couple will reside in Princeton.

The bride is 2001 honor graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She is a North Carolina Teaching Fellow at North Carolina State University for a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing education. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. She is employed as a computer lab instructor at North Carolina State University.

The groom graduated in 1999 with honors from Rosewood High School and cum laude in 2003 from North Carolina State University with bachelor of science degrees in computer engineering and electrical engineering. He is employed as a networking and computer hardware instructor with Wayne Community College and is owner of Information Technology Service and Support Inc.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Herman and Martha Norris, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted guests. Tamra Renfrow and Cathy Best served the wedding cake. Amanda Barnes and Dawn Schappell poured punch. Brittney Creech, cousin of the bride, and Beth Stovall, cousin of the groom, distributed favors. Helpers were Lili Worley and Peggy Evans.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner July 30 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

On July 28, the bride’s mother held a bridesmaid’s luncheon at Mellow Mushroom of Raleigh.

Former JCPenney co-workers of the bride, held a bridal shower July 18 Olive Garden of Cary.

On June 27, friends and family of the groom held a floating shower at Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Corie Mellinger and Subha Kolluru held a bachelorette slumber party and lingerie shower June 25 in Raleigh.

On May 16, members of Pleasant Grove Church Free Will Baptist Church held a miscellaneous shower in the fellowship hall.
