PRINCETON — Catherine Gabrielle Nicholson became the wife of Brandon Lee Howell July 4 at 5 p.m.

Pastor Jimmy Bryant officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Evelyn Teresa Horne of Goldsboro is the mother of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Leon and Ebbie Mooring of Fremont.

Parents of the groom are Joseph and Juanita Howell of Seven Springs. He is the grandson of Ida Janet Watts of Seven Springs.

Given in marriage by her brother, Phillip Nicholson, the bride wore a long white spaghetti strap dress with a beaded pearl flower bodice and a long satin train. She also wore a white gold necklace with a crystal pendant that had been worn by her grandmother and great-grandmother at their weddings.

For her headpiece, she chose a silver tiara filled with diamonds and pearls with a sheer white veil. She carried fresh red roses tied with blue sheer ribbon.

Sarah Clark, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Lawrence, friend of the bride, and Leslie Mooring, cousin of the bride.

Michael Sugg was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Sean Hibbard, friend of the groom, and David Mooring, cousin of the bride. Groomsmen were Sean Hibbard and Stephen Sugg, friends of the groom.

Britney LaRoche, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Leon Horne, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.

Kirsten Stovall directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Josh Nicholson, brother of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Pastor Andy Stovall, Holly Cumming, David Wiley and Jane Shattuck, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to the mountains and Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Pikeville.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Rosewood High School. She is employed as a cashier with Target.

The groom graduated from Country Christian Academy in 2001. He is employed with Belle Foods.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Kirsten Stovall and Emmy Haveri were directors.

The bride’s mother and Carol Pollard, friend of the bride, held a lingerie shower.

The maid of honor and bridesmaids held a party in Myrtle Beach.

A bridesmaids’ luncheon was held at Olive Garden of Raleigh.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church fellowship hall.
