ROCKY MOUNT — Lisa Beth Pendergrass and John Michael Lucas pledged their marriage vows June 12 at 2 p.m.

William A. Rodebaugh officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Rocky Mount Bible Church.

The bride is the daughter of James and Joyce Pendergrass of Rocky Mount. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Wilson and Alma Jones of Winston-Salem, the late Richard Wilson and the late J.R. Pendergrass Sr.

The groom is the son of J. Micheal and Emily Lucas of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Florence Holt of Greenville, the late Ernest Holt and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lucas of Asheboro.

The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her father.

Sarah Abel of Durham was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbie Beck of Newark, Ohio, Leah Frazee of Wheaton, Ill., Erin Little of Greenville, Dawn Trollip of Durham and Amy DeVaughn of Goldsboro.

J. Micheal Lucas was best man. Groomsmen were Sean Griswold of Cedarville, Ohio, Jeff Joyner of Fredericksburg, Va., Rob Rogers of Kettering, Ohio, Jonathan Hatton of Cary and Darrin DeVaughn of Goldsboro.

Maggie Rains was flower girl.

Jill Williams directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Lori Isenhower. Ruth Ann Taylor distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Melissa Boyd, pianist; Jeff Collins, vocalist; and Jonathan Cyrus, trumpeter.

After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple will reside in Rocky Mount.

The bride is a graduate of Cedarville University of Ohio and East Carolina University School of Physical Therapy. She is employed as a physical therapist with Aldridge Rehabilitation Center.

The groom graduated from Cedarville University of Ohio and Eat Carolina University School of Physician Assistant Studies. He is employed as a physician assistant.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

On May 23, ladies of Rocky Mount Bible Church held a shower.

Sarah Abel held a lingerie shower May 22.

On May 11, Elizabeth Harris of Greenville and the bride’s Bible study held a shower.

Ladies of Adamsville Baptist Church held a shower May 2.

On April 28, co-workers of the bride held a shower.

Linda Little and Susan Jordan held a bridal luncheon at Fenner on the Falls of Rocky Mount.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Fenner on the Falls.
