CLINTON — Kristen Michelle Roberts and Alson Eugene Stone were united in marriage Feb. 14 at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Milton Little officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Goshen United Methodist Church.

Parents of the bride are Dwayne and Cathy Roberts of Clinton. She is the granddaughter of Ray and Barbara Stroud of Clinton, Betty Roberts of Mount Olive and the late James Roberts and the great-granddaughter of Emma Jane Burney of Princeton and the late Howell Burney.

Parents of the groom are Daniel and Rose Campbell of Faison. He is the grandson of Eugene and Grace Stone of Newton Grove.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory, ruby and gold two-piece strapless gown with a corset back with embroidered flowers. The skirt flowed into an A-line adorned with matching embroidered flowers accenting the front panel. The semi-cathedral train was adorned with embroidered flowers.

She carried a bouquet of red roses and white gardenias.

Shandi Chappell Owen, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Leslie Megan Roberts, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Colleen King, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Garron Rogers was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were David Stone, brother of the groom, and Terrance Faulkner, friend of the bride.

Mondrick King, friend of the groom, was honorary best man.

Caroline Wilson was flower girl. Offie Campbell, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

Patrick King, friend of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Beverly Caddis.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Clinton High School.

The groom graduated from Hobbton High School in 1999.

Following the ceremony, a Valentine-themed reception was held at the church.

On Feb. 13, Earl and Amy Stone, uncle and aunt of the groom, held a rehearsal dinner.

Barbara Stroud, grandmother of the bride, held a room-to-room shower Dec. 6.

On Nov. 23, Joyce Crumpler and Edith McClannahan held a bridal shower at Pizza Inn.
