PRINCETON — Jeannine Frances Winders of Goldsboro and Samuel Matthew Williams exchanged promises Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Parents of the bride are Randy B. and Wanda M. Winders of Pikeville. She is the granddaughter of Lloyd and Rachel Mozingo of Pikeville and Hilton and Rosalee Winders of Pikeville.

Parents of the groom are Ricky and Sandy Williams of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Kenneth and Geraldine Moore of Goldsboro and Jack and Linda Williams of Mount Olive.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line satin gown with a pearl and sequin embroidery that flowed from the top of the gown. The corset back was adorned with pearl and sequin embroidery and flowed into a semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of pearls and sequins with a two-tiered flowing veil. She carried a bouquet of Virginia roses.

Natalie Winders of Pikeville, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Deanna Howell of Princeton, cousin of the groom, and Michelle Odom of Pikeville, cousin of the bride.

Ricky Williams was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Joe Bergmark of Raleigh and Ahsley Wheeler of Goldsboro, friends of the groom, and Brock Winders of Pikeville, brother of the bride.

Alayna Odom, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Millie Hardison directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Meagan Barnes, cousin of the bride. Robert Winders, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Bradley Collier, pianist; Christy Unroe, cousin of the bride, and Stacie Edge, friend of the bride, vocalists; and Chelsey Mozingo, cousin of the bride, violinist.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Wayne Christian School and a 2003 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate of arts degree. She attends the University of South Carolina for a degree in elementary education.

The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1999. He is serving in the Air Force.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Renee Mozingo, aunt of the bride, poured punch. Tillie Barnes and Hope Ham, aunts of the bride, served the wedding cake. Chelsey Mozingo, cousin of the bride, distributed birdseed.

On Jan. 16, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Madison’s. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.

The groom’s grandmother held a miscellaneous shower Jan. 12 at her home.

On Dec. 20, the bride’s aunts held a miscellaneous shower at the home of Arlene Winders.
