PREP JV FOOTBALL: Jacobs leads Cougars past Saints

Sophomore quarterback Jamin Jacobs threw for 230 yards and one touchdown during Goldsboro's 40-14 romp over county rival Southern Wayne.
Jacobs and sophomore Damon Brown hooked up for a TD pass. Brown finished the night with 150 yards on just three receptions.
Sophomore Marcus Williams led the Cougars' ground attack with 105 yards, followed by sophomore Andreas Stokes with 76 and Jacobs with 50.
Stokes emerged as the defensive leader with 13 tackles, including nine solo stops. Brown, freshman Savion Edwards, freshman LaCarlo Fredrick and sophomore Mical Mooring logged five tackles apiece.
Goldsboro (2-0 overall) entertains Charles B. Aycock next Thursday.
