PREP VOLLEYBALL: Chargers easily handle Vikings

HALIFAX -- Wayne Country Day bounced back from its first defeat of the season, and hammered out a 25-9, 25-16, 25-16 win over Halifax Academy on Tuesday afternoon.
Lexi Jeffreys paced the Chargers with 10 kills, four blocks and four aces.
Grayson Jeffreys contributed five kills and three aces.
Cate Eagles supplied 11 assists and seven aces.
The Chargers (10-1 overall) open their Coastal Plains Independent Conference schedule at home Thursday against newcomer Friendship Christian.
